Changelog

All notable changes to Ink Player are documented here.

Unreleased

Features added since the initial release.

Highlights:

  • Cloudflare providers — two new Storage integrations. Cloudflare Stream streams adaptive HLS with public or signed playback, and provisions the signing key for you on save. Cloudflare R2 serves video files from an S3-compatible bucket, public or with short-lived signed URLs. Both work in the dashboard and the blocks. See Providers.
  • Player appearance — theme the player beyond corner radius: control bar color, control icon color, icon hover background, and play-button background. Set them per media in the Appearance panel or on a preset to theme every player at once. See Video inspector.
  • Playlist theming — a new Style tab in the layout editor themes playlist colors (panel & header background, text, secondary text, active/hover highlight, item radius, and row spacing), applied across the List, Grid, and Slider layouts. See Playlist layouts.
  • Draft / Published status — media and playlists now have a publish state. Set it with the segmented Draft / Published control in the blocks, or with Save as draft / Publish in the dashboard. Drafts are hidden from visitors; managers still see them with an admin-only amber Draft badge on the player.
  • Global ads — play pre-roll, mid-roll, and post-roll ad breaks, controlled by a master kill-switch. Ads can be served from a custom video file or a VAST tag, with ad support for YouTube and Vimeo embeds. VPAID is disabled — only modern VAST, OMID, and SIMID are used.
  • Video overlay type — add a video overlay, with two-source media selection so you can pick separate sources for the overlay and the player.
  • Alternate audio languages — the multi-language switcher now supports alternate spoken-language sources, including alternate audio sources, and preserves the current playback position when switching. See Multi-language video.
